Help woke and and feel something in the back of the throat??

I woke up with a stuffy nose, and had a cough, now I feel something in the back of the throat. I dont know how I can explain it but I can swallow fine. I checked in the mirror and nothing was there, I try to clear my throat but it doesnt work, I try to cough but nothing works. Help what is this?
