A good fishing rod?!?

I have been a little confused the past couple days about if I can put this reel on that rod and what not? So I ask you can a Browning Superlight Spinning Reel go on a Shakespeare ugly stick lite spinning rod (6' and cork)? Please help! Also if you need me to post the links of both of these I will! :)
