Doubles tips (for a former singles player)?

I've never had this problem or have seen it but heres an idea, and if it sounds bad then scratch it. When you all are being served to both of you start back. When your partner is being served to allow him to get to the net as soon as he returns and you stay back and if you can get a good drop shot in or even a good placed shot for that matter, than you crash. When your being served to have you buddy crash the next as you return it. If you can get a good placed shot over the opposing guy at the net that could also open up some good opportunites. Once your in good position to crash the net then you crash the net. When both of you are at the net try having you buddy a little closer to the net than you. You try standing a couple feet further back but still close to the net so when you see a lob coming you'll be able to get to it. Thats just an idea I've been away from a game for a few years, but try this in practice and see if it works out at all. Hope I was some help.
