Is it illegal to throw pickles at clowns?

They're so darn happy, and as everybody knows, pickles are the source of all evil. I believe if that if I am able to get my angle of trajectory right, I can lob multiple pickles and the unsuspecting clowns that are at a nearby circus using a slingshot. The clowns' huge, goofy smiles, will turn into amazing frowns. And that's the way it should be.
