Duck Walk during Strip Search?

So, not gonna go into details, but I went to jail, and as customary I got strip searched. After I squatted and coughed though, they made me duck walk nude about 5 steps out and back. This seemed unusual to me. Is this normal for a search? If you've been strip searched before, what did you have to do?
